I am one of the core members of the Tantalus Art Group, I have exhibited in most of the shows that we've had over the years and I have thoroughly enjoyed being an active member. I started out producing digital prints and insulation pieces but more recently I have taken to painting onto canvas. I studied at Norwich School of Art 12 years ago and got a BA Hons Degree in Fine Art Printmaking. When I left I felt I needed to carry my work on in some shape or form, Tantalus enabled me to do this. My work as always been about layers, texture and form, and I've become more and more interested in the body as a form of landscape. A close up viewpoint of being a woman and the way the body changes through age and experience. My main influences are photographer's Cyndy Sherman, Joel Peter Witkin and painter Jenny Savelle.
