Sam uses Acrylic and Oil paint to create colourscapes which reflect parts of the unseen Landscape. His main influence comes from travelling parts of Asia, Europe and Australasia where the light reflects onto natural and manmade colour creating vivid expressive imagery. He utilises simplistic modern technology and cameraphones to gather source imagery. Many of Sam's pieces come in Tryptychs or Quartets to convey a vast array of colours. Although Abstract in form, his paintings are a modern twist on the ethos of Landscape art.
